Submission of a quote request does not constitute an order. An order is only confirmed upon written (email) acknowledgment from 3D Creation Systems and receipt of any required deposit.

3

File Uploads & Intellectual Property

When you upload files (including but not limited to STL, STEP, STP, IGES, OBJ, 3MF, SLDPRT, F3D, IPT, DWG, SAT, and X_T formats) to 3D Creation Systems — whether through our website, email, FTP, or any other means — you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the sole owner of the intellectual property rights in the submitted designs, OR
  • You have obtained all necessary licenses, permissions, and authorizations from the design owner to manufacture the parts on their behalf
  • The manufacture of the submitted designs does not infringe upon any third party's intellectual property, patent, trademark, copyright, or trade secret
  • You will indemnify and hold harmless 3D Creation Systems against any claims arising from intellectual property infringement

Customer Ownership: Customers retain ownership of their original design files and the physical parts manufactured from them.

Confidentiality: All files submitted to 3D Creation Systems are treated as confidential. We do not share, distribute, or use customer designs for any purpose other than fulfilling the customer's order without express written consent.

File Retention: Submitted files may be retained for a period of up to 12 months for re-order purposes. Customers are solely responsible for maintaining their own backups of original design files.

4

Orders & Production

Order Confirmation: All orders require written confirmation. Once confirmed, production schedules are established based on current workload, material availability, and technology requirements.

Lead Times: Stated lead times are estimates and begin from the date of order confirmation and receipt of all required information (including payment or deposit, where applicable). 3D Creation Systems does not guarantee specific delivery dates unless explicitly agreed in writing as part of a rush or expedited production agreement.

Design Modifications: If, during production, it is discovered that a part cannot be manufactured as specified (due to wall thickness, tolerance, geometry, or material constraints), our engineering team will contact the customer to discuss modifications. Production may be paused until design changes are confirmed in writing.

Cancellations: Orders cancelled after production has begun may be subject to a cancellation fee covering material costs and labor incurred up to the point of cancellation. Custom or specialized orders (including nomenclature printing and medical-grade parts) may be non-refundable after certain production stages.

Minimum Orders: 3D Creation Systems reserves the right to establish minimum order quantities and minimum dollar thresholds for certain services.

5

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping Origin: All shipments originate from our manufacturing facilities in Minneapolis, Minnesota, or Denver, Colorado, depending on the facility from which the order is fulfilled.

Shipping Methods: We offer standard ground shipping, expedited shipping, and freight options. Shipping costs are calculated based on package dimensions, weight, destination, and service level, and are quoted separately unless included as part of a package price.

Risk of Loss: Risk of loss or damage to goods passes to the customer upon delivery to the carrier at our facility. We are not liable for delays, losses, or damages incurred during transit. Customers may elect to purchase third-party shipping insurance at checkout.

International Shipping: For orders shipped outside the United States, the customer is responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, VAT, and related fees. 3D Creation Systems is not responsible for parts seized or delayed by customs authorities.

Delivery Delays: While we make every effort to meet stated lead times, 3D Creation Systems shall not be liable for any damages or losses arising from shipping delays caused by carriers, weather, natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

6

Payment Terms

Standard Terms: Net 30 days from invoice date for established customers with an approved credit account. First-time customers may be required to pay in full prior to production.

Deposit Requirements: 3D Creation Systems may require a deposit of up to 50% of the estimated order total for new customers, large orders, custom parts, or orders involving specialized materials or nomenclature printing.

Accepted Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), ACH bank transfers, and company checks for customers with approved credit terms.

Overdue Payments: Payments not received by the due date are subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% APR) on the outstanding balance. 3D Creation Systems reserves the right to suspend production and shipment of orders for accounts with overdue balances.

Taxes: Applicable federal, state, and local taxes are the responsibility of the customer and will be added to invoices where required by law.

7

Quality & Warranty

Quality Standards: All parts manufactured by 3D Creation Systems are inspected prior to shipment to verify they meet agreed-upon specifications. We are committed to delivering parts that conform to the tolerances, materials, and finishes described in your order confirmation.

Reprint Policy: If a part does not meet the agreed specification due to a manufacturing error on our part, we will, at our discretion, reprint the part(s) at no additional cost or issue a credit for the affected portion of the order. This does not cover:

  • Parts that differ from specifications due to inaccurate files submitted by the customer
  • Parts that are damaged after leaving our facility (in transit, during handling, or installation)
  • Parts that fail due to improper use, environmental conditions, or applications not disclosed at the time of quoting
  • Minor surface finish variations inherent to 3D printing and industrial manufacturing processes

Medical & Regulated Products: Parts produced for medical applications are manufactured to applicable tolerances and material specifications. However, customers are responsible for ensuring that parts are suitable for their intended medical use and comply with all applicable FDA, ISO, and regulatory requirements. 3D Creation Systems does not act as a licensed medical device manufacturer or regulatory submission representative.
